Sendang Gile & Tiu Kelep Waterfalls – Senaru’s Jungle Escape

At the foot of Mount Rinjani, near the mountain village of Senaru, two waterfalls create one of North Lombok’s most memorable nature trips: Sendang Gile and Tiu Kelep.

Sendang Gile

Tiu Kelep

From Sendang Gile, the trail continues through forest and along the river towards Tiu Kelep. The path is more adventurous, with uneven ground, rocks, and shallow river crossings, so proper footwear is important.

Tiu Kelep opens into a wide jungle basin where water falls from a moss-covered cliff into a clear pool. Mist, green walls, and the sound of the waterfall make the final viewpoint feel wonderfully far from the outside world.

What to bring

Wear comfortable shoes with a good grip and bring swimwear, a towel, drinking water, insect repellent, and a dry bag for valuables. The rocks can be slippery, especially after rain.
