Worth knowing before you go.
A quiet east-Bali coast known for black-sand beaches, diving and views toward Mount Agung; useful as a Bali extension around the Lombok crossing.
Continue by air: About 40–55 min by air when a direct Lombok–Bali service is available, then continue by road.
By sea: There is no dependable regular Bangsal–Amed passenger boat. The practical sea route is Bangsal to Padang Bai by fast boat (about 1.5 hours), then roughly 45–60 minutes by car to Amed; the public Lembar–Padang Bai ferry is slower, around 4–5 hours at sea.
