The historic inland capital area of Sumbawa, suited to a longer cultural extension beyond the Lombok ferry crossing.
Continue by air: About 1 hour by air when a scheduled Lombok–Sumbawa service is available; schedules are limited and change seasonally.
By sea: The usual overland-and-sea route is Villa → Kayangan Harbour → Poto Tano by public ferry (about 1.5 hours), followed by a long road transfer east to Sumbawa Besar; allow most of a day.
